[Hmm, this is a jumbled up recollection, because he's really only heard it and seen it once.]
It was a full journal. One from the staff, y'know? Tryin' to get answers and turned to the occult. Talked about how they met the rest of the staff. Somethin' about a planning a wedding.
They were a collection of flowers with a series of meanings... Some of them 'Danger' and 'Deceit'. Others 'I Am Still Waiting'... and one more prominently 'Thoughts of the Departed'. As such, I wonder if it is the only message that those on the other side could deliver, though it remains but one of my two theories.
[but he hums thoughtfully at that]
... were you able to witness the handwriting? Did it look familiar to that which wrote the Hangman game or the chart from prior weeks?
Huh. Back in the school, the way we got our messages out was a board. Wonder if the flowers are what they got access to here. What's the other? A threat from the Nightman?
[He considers it.]
I dunno about either of those. Haven't seen either of 'em before. Ain't like I can compare.
It was somethin' like... "Interesting that the boss is bound by contracts. Could mean something."
Mm... I wonder if there is a reason why they cannot manage more typical means - but this is acceptable. Flower language is something that I understand well enough... but I believe that all of the flowers came from the same source, as they are bundled in a bouquet. I worry that it means that danger still exists where the others are.
[but he hums faintly]
Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd and Sylvain Jose Gautier might be able to produce the documents for you.
But I see, I see.... 'Could mean something'. I wonder if a new contract might be able to be drafted.
It took a long time before we could write letters. The last few weeks.
[He tilts his head and nods. Wow the FEs do have knowledge.]
I'm not that familiar with written contracts. [Wizards try not to agree to promises OR contracts] But if ya try askin' adults from Earth they might have some experience? Re...negation? [Renegotiation.]
Mm... but you were able to send messages one way or another. I suppose this may be it.
[he tilts his head. so many secrets and long ways around things. well, it's familiar enough]
Ha ha ha, I have some understanding of them as well. Nobility courts were fond of their documents and their politics just as samurai were of their wars. But I shall continue to press onward.
Do let me know if you hear of any others receiving flowers.

[Like from room service or what?]
Shiela's got it, not me.

[tilts his head]
Would you mind summarizing it for me from what you recall?

[A nod. At least somebody knows about contracts, because it sure isn't Bradley.]
Yeah, I'll letcha know.

[me: i can't believe they're expecting me to know flower language despite actively playing a character that uses flower language]
But we shall see what else they might be able to send in future weeks.

Ha ha ha, well I am not very good at leaving well enough alone. So that shall be little issue.
