Week 1: Monday

[8. You open the door and find yourself inside what looks like it was once a park of some kind. It is mostly greyscale - literally, like an old TV show. There are benches, streetlamps, and trash cans along the shattered cobblestone path that leads in a circle around the area, but they’re in various states of disarray. Wilted, grey grass in small, pathetic tufts litters the area, and even the dirt seems to be more like ash. There are stone archways scattered throughout the area, and at its center, a dead and grey tree from which a clock with unmoving hands hangs. You start off fully saturated here, but as you wander about, your color starts to fade, and you find yourself growing weaker and less emotional until you are nearly entirely numb inside and out. At that point you will black out and find yourself in the hallway again, disoriented and feeling devoid of emotion for the next half hour after emerging from the room.

He looks at Emet, he looks at the room.]

Been here before?

...not this room, no. But the location is somewhat familiar.

The last place you were at?

[He's going to the clock.]

It is reminiscent of the Prism's central area, yes.

Was it this gray the whole time ya were there?

This area always was. Although-- well. The clock was not always broken.

You guys managed to fix it? Or somethin' else?

[He's looking around like he might be able to find a tool box or something along those lines.]

No, it... was very briefly functional. At the beginning of our stay.

[battling]

It stayed broken for the next eight weeks? Weird.

Somethin' happen to it?

[there is a brief silence, here, before:]

It was not my fault they decided to hang a clock on a tree, I didn't see it!

[He's so startled he laughs.]

Don't worry nobody's gonna come after ya for damages now.

I should hope not. They should have provided more fixtures and better furniture.

[battling]

Nothin' sized for ya there?

Not to begin with, no. It was thoroughly frustrating.

How long did it take to get somethin' your size?

Multiple days, unfortunately.

Hey, least it wasn't a whole month.

Was it a whole month for you-?

When I died it was a whole lotta nothing for weeks.

The dorms never had enough beds, on the living side.

Are they not meant for housing people? It seems as if they ought to have plenty.

You'd think that, but nah. They'd never account for people movin' into the dorms either.

[ktiseos]

How troublesome.

We shared rooms, but at the least, we each had our own bed.

It was around ten of us packed into two rooms with way too few beds.

[hello! in the simulation room today, there is... this. you're standing on an island, looking out over a lush landscape, with more islands visible in the distance; a large structure sits on one, waterfalls pouring off the edge of another. it's idyllic, here.

emet-selch is seated on the first island's edge, looking out over the rest. instead of his normal appearance, he has a pair of black raven wings, a silver crown's spires growing from his head, and wherever his skin's not covered by robes-- it's shadowy, but not dark, lit from the inside by a slow-moving pattern of tiny, multicolored lights. it's like somebody put a galaxy projector on him.

he glances up to bradley with four glowing, golden eyes.]

Yes?

[ Seagull wings are tucked against his back, and around his neck isa ruff of feathers from the same sort of bird. ]

Didn't know it was in use.
