I don't know if you noticed, but I have one eye. It kind of makes taking accurate aim difficult.

[he glances around, though, before looking in the direction of the market.]

Seems like there's a lot going on over there.

Yeah, but I had, like, four and half months to get used to being able to see normally again. Although, now that you mention it, what do these places have against my eyes...

I mean, we definitely do, but I wasn't really allowed to leave the castle much when I was growing up. And since then, I've had responsibilities that kept me pretty busy.

I'm suddenly very curious about your rationale for that.

You're what, not even in your twenties? When you're younger people are more forgivin'.

Especially as royalty, you ain't gonna have much time to cut loose. Central prince is beholden to so many rules already and he's still just 17.

It was really strict when I was growing up, yeah, but... Believe it or not, a lot have things have changed over the last few months that mean I can more or less do what I want to do, as long as I'm not being wildly irresponsible.

Also, I should probably clarify that back when they were stricter I tried to run away constantly, so I think I've got the rule breaking thing out of my system by now.

I climbed out the window so much my mom had to have a moat dug outside the tower my bedroom was in.

No, way smaller. It's like, uh... A pretty big lizard with a really big mouth and lots of sharp teeth that swims around.
